Facelift
Facelift
is a procedure that will help reduce and occasionally eliminate
signs of the aging process. It helps soften nasolabial
folds, reduce jowling, and tightens the sagging skin in the face
and neck. After a facelift you should look refreshed, and
invigorated not artificial or operated.
Facelift
is usually performed on an outpatient basis. General anesthesia
is not always required, local with sedation is just as effective. Patients
are usually evaluated the first postoperative day. Drains
if used will be removed at that time. A smaller bandage will
replace the bulkier surgical dressing. Patients are
able to shower and shampoo their hair in 3 days. Most of
the sutures are removed 5-7 days after surgery and the remaining
ones in 10 days. Patients should be able to go in public
within 10-14 days after surgery depending on the amount of bruising. It
will take 6 months to achieve the final result.
