Blepharoplasty
(eyelid surgery)
Both
upper and lower eyelids will sag and have visible fat pockets
which will give the eyes a tired, heavy or unhappy appearance. Blepharoplasty
helps rejuvenate the eyelids by eliminating the visible fat pockets removing
the excess skin.
Both
upper and lower blepharoplasty is performed with local anesthesia
on an outpatient basis. The eyelids will be taped
for the first 5 days at which point they will be removed and
the sutures will also be removed. There is minimal
discomfort. The bruising last for 5-7 days. Patients
can return to full activity in 10 days. It will take 6
months to obtain the final result.
